Transitional housing is for people transitioning into a new environment, refugees require a space that allows them to transition into a new living environment.

The building is located on a site on the banks of the Walkerspruit, in Pretoria. There is a four smaller sites within the main site, the main site has workshop areas, gardens and other facilities for people in transition to build their skills in order to find work after the transitional period.

The house has a caretaker, who is a permanent resident who looks after and manages the building. The caretaker lives in the Mezzanine level with access to the ground floor and first floor. The ground floor apartment is universally accessible. There is a rooftop garden for growing produce. The roof also has an area for relaxing with views of the Walkerspruit park.
